come down from CT and this place beats all others for adults and kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hesitate to review this place because part of what makes it so great is the lack of crowds! Still, the staff and the facilities are really great and deserve kudos. Tennis courts, basketball courts, kids camps, and a temperature controlled swimming pool for a nominal annual or daily fee. I try to stop in as often as possible for a quick swim to refresh after a long day or start my morning with an energetic burst.

4 Stars for great tennis courts (a ton of them) and wonderfully friendly staff. This is a great spot to rent a court for a couple of hours. You can check the schedule online and book a court or wing it and do so when you arrive. I've noticed a time or two when it looks like every court is blocked online and they were actually all open, so I'd recommend calling to verify if there are no spots. Day-of has always worked for me. The courts themselves are well-maintained and many are recently re-painted. Some of them have the practice nets separating the two courts so your balls stay close by (this is for newbs like me). The bathrooms are nearby and adequate. Nothing spectacular, but they work and have been clean when I've been there. Overall, great courts! I'd recommend.

This is a very clean and well managed community pool. It's not huge, but, there is a place for all ages. There is a 10" deep area for infants/ toddlers, a 3' area for kids that are more familiar with water, a 4' area for swimmers, and a 6' area for adults. There is a well staffed lifeguard team. They offer a good number of lounge chairs and 3 well covered areas. As if this posting, admission is $2 per person (all ages).

This pool costs $2. It's outdoors. It's heated. It's clean. It's typically dead during the day (unless you get caught in a school group). Best damn public secret Orlando has.

Pretty cool! Great for kids and adults looking to relax. $2 per person for the pool and nearby playground, well kept and plenty of life guards.

Yesterday, I witnessed the Ft Gatlin Lifeguards saving (2) young children. Both were near drowning. Both guards acted quickly, with ZERO hesitation. I am impressed. GREAT JOB to the Lifeguard Team at Ft Gatlin, Sunday 6/2/2013, around 4PM!! Hank Halbert - Conway Resident since 1998.

Yeah i'll give this place some stars.. It's decent for a community pool. They also offer swimming lessons for cheap, but it is a lottery trying to get your child in. The instructors are great and patient with the kids. The lifeguards are on top of their job, and are friendly. The recreation complex also offers tumbling classes, after school programs, you can also host birthday parties in the park area. They have tennis courts and basketball courts as well. There is a little bit of something for almost everyone. If you are looking to swim, get there early, they only allow up to 100 guests in at a time. They won't let you purchase wristbands in advance if you are expecting company later on. There are restrooms and vending machines throughout, you can pack a lunch but you can't eat in the pool area. Plenty of places to sit and eat outside of the pool area.

This place is great to go with my 3 year old. It has a 10in wading area with one of those mushroom shaped statues with the water that spills out of the top. There is also a 3.5ft area with lots of water sprayers for bigger children and a deep end to do laps and two life guards on duty. Only coast guard approved life vests in the water which they supply and they have little swimmers if you run out. Cost for everyone to swim is $2 a person which is a great price. 15 minutes of every hour is "adults only" time in the pool but the playground is just a few feet away and is very swim suit friendly. A great place to visit on the weekends.

The all-star park Fort Gaitlin Park is probably the best park in central Florida in terms of amenities. this place has it all: an olympic sized swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, and of course, playgrounds! But the downside is that this place is not free...it costs $2 per person to get in. But when you think of all the stuff they have at the park, it's a great deal, and you shouldn't let price keep you from experiencing this place! The Good: Plenty of Events: This place has plenty of after-school programs for kids, as well as weekend sports training classes. There are also drive-in movies during the summer, and plenty of other events going on nearly every week. This place is almost always got something going on! Not too big: Although there's plenty of stuff here, the park itself is not that big, which is actually a good thing, because you don't have to hike to get to where you want to go! Plenty of facilities: In addition to the swimming, tennis, and basketball facilities, there is playground equipment and areas for picnicking. The Bad: N/A Fort Gatlin is a really great place to go, and there's so much to do that it is a great place to spend an entire saturday! Just make sure to bring your tennis equipment, baithing suits, etc. Overall 10/10= Fun @ Fort Gatlin
